Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-07

These terms are the agreement between you (the customer) and us (GetAutomator) when you buy and use the product. Reading them takes five minutes. We wrote them in plain English so a non-lawyer can understand what they're agreeing to.

1. What you're buying

GetAutomator is a desktop application that reads a database schema on your machine and generates source code from a template. Each generator tool (a "tool") is sold separately. Each purchase grants you the right to use one tool on one machine for a 6-month update window.

2. Your license

3. What happens after 6 months

The tool stops generating new code, but everything you already generated remains yours and keeps working in production forever. To extend the window for another 6 months you renew the tool at the discounted renewal price shown on the product page.

4. Code you generate is yours

The code GetAutomator writes for you - models, controllers, configuration, tests, README, everything - is yours. Use it in client work, your own SaaS, internal tools, or open source. No attribution required. No royalties owed.

The templates that produce the code remain our intellectual property and are licensed to you only for use through the GetAutomator desktop app. You may not redistribute the templates themselves.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on every tool purchase, no questions asked. You don't need to have activated the license - if you bought it and changed your mind, that's reason enough.

To request a refund, email support@getautomator.com from the address on the order, with your order ID. We approve eligible refunds within one business day; the refund typically appears on your statement 5-10 business days later.

Conditions:

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate a license obtained through fraud, payment reversal, or material breach of Section 5. You may terminate your own account at any time from Settings > Danger Zone in the desktop app or your web account. Termination by you does not entitle you to a refund outside the policy in Section 6.

8. Service availability

We aim for the license server to be available at all times. We do not promise an uptime SLA. The desktop app has a 30-day offline grace window, so a temporary outage of our server does not stop you from using a tool you have already activated.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app and the generated code are provided AS IS, without any express or implied warranty. We make no guarantee that the generated code is fit for any particular purpose, free of bugs, or secure under any specific threat model. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and modifying the generated code before running it in production.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of GetAutomator is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or business interruption.

10. Privacy and cookies

See our Privacy Policy for the data we collect and our Cookie Policy for the cookies set by this site. Continued use of the site after material changes to those policies means you accept them.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. For material changes (price model, refund window, license terms) we will email active customers and post a notice on the site for at least 30 days before the change takes effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, where the operating individual is based. Disputes that cannot be resolved by good-faith email correspondence will be heard in the courts of India.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
